Halloween 2012

This year, Eggy had two costumes.
For school, she wore her Red Riding Hood costume from last year.  It still fit, just a little shorter.  In the morning, Eggy and her schoolmates walked next door to the senior center to do a little trick-or-treating and other fun Halloween activities.  I didn't have work so I got to come along.  It was so cute to see all the little kids dressed up.

After the senior center, we walked back to the school and the kids had a parade for the parents.  Eggy kept saying that her legs were tired, wanting me to pick her up.  Since I also had Bacon with me in the carrier, it would have been impossible for me to hold her.  Her friend A also kept asking her dad to pick her up.  So I told them to hold hands and walk together back to school.  They ran off, holding hands.  So cute.

Then, for trick-or-treating in the evening, Eggy dressed up as Minnie Mouse and Bacon was Mickey Mouse.

We ended up going with the neighbors who have a 10 month old son.  For some reason, Eggy just wasn't as into it this year compared to last year.  After just a few houses, she said she wanted to go home.  But that might have been because she just wanted to eat her candy.  I was like, what?  But you didn't get me any KitKats.  Anyway, I think a few of the houses spooked her a little because she's been wanting to sleep with the lights on the past couple nights.

Happy Halloween!

Eggy loved trick or treating.  Looooved it!  We had been practicing for a little while now so she was so excited to finally wear her costume and go.
Practicing one more time:

She had so much fun that she even made up a song about Halloween.  Or trick-or-treating.  Or her candy.  Or being a bird.  Maybe all of the above.  It was hard to understand her.

Ever since Eggy's Eemo told her the story of Little Red Riding Hood and she saw an episode of Max and Ruby where they told their own version of the story, Eggy decided she had to be Little Red Riding Hood.  Like probably even more than a month before.  I thought I'd have at least another year or two where I'd get to choose her costume but she had her mind made up.
(Side story: She did say she wanted to be a puppy for couple days.  I took her to Target and showed her this costume:

Oh my goodness, the look on her face was hilarious.  It was like, "What the hell is that?!"  And she said, "That's not cute.  Get me another one."  So then it was back to Red Riding Hood again.)
Anyway, she already said she wants to be a chicken next year.  What?  So random.

Hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween!

Trick or Treat!

It's Hello Kitty!
At the mall:
Sharing her loot with D-san

Around the neighborhood:

This year, Eggy was actually able to walk from house to house (or store to store) and accept candy.  She even had a trick-or-treating buddy.  Too bad she did all the work but I get to eat all the candy.

Happy Halloween!

Pumpkin Patch, Take Two

Yesterday, we took Eggy to another pumpkin patch.
2010
Yup, the same one as last year.  Look how much my baby's grown since then!
2009

Unfortunately, Eggy was supposed to be napping during this time so she wasn't feeling too excited about being there.  Most of the time, she looked like this:
This year, we took her on the train ride that goes around the park.
Then, we checked out the pumpkin patch.
Maybe she had her fill of pumpkins at the first pumpkin patch but she wasn't as into the pumpkins this time.  No kissing or sitting on the pumpkins.

Since Eggy wasn't feeling too cooperative, we have pictures like this instead.

But we managed a few good ones.

She liked this "horse" but when I sat on the one next to hers, Her Majesty told me to get off.  Ew, bossy!

Here's a funny story:
Eggy was sitting in this toy tractor thing and this little girl just climbed in next to her.
Eggy took one look at her and decided she was not going to be out-diva'd.  She demanded her own sunnies even though she refused to wear it just five minutes prior.
"Give me my glasses!"
Once she got her sunnies, she ignored the other kids, acting like she was too good for them.  That, my friends, is her Korean attitude in full effect.

Anyway, I wish Eggy had been in a better mood so we'd have more pictures of her smiling and looking happy.  Lesson learned.  Next time, nap first, then pumpkin patch!
See, isn't this one much better?
