More Egg Rolls

Last week, Eggy rolled over from her back to her tummy for the first time! Once she's on her tummy, she'll either whine or roll onto her back. She still doesn't like being on her tummy too much.
Unfortunately, the rolling isn't just happening during the day. She likes to practice at night too. This is not so fun at 3am. Although I admire her dedication, I should tell her that there is no gold medal for rolling. You will not be the next Michael Phelps of rolling over, Eggy.

Also, the day we got back from Vegas, she started doing this:

Although I'm so proud and excited for her, I'm also thinking, "Slow the eff down! Stop growing up so fast!"

Vegas, Take two

We're back from Vegas! And Eggy survived! I missed her like crajee. Every time I saw a baby in Vegas, my heart hurt a little. And my boobies too, haha.
My favorite part of Vegas? Catching up with an old friend....

Dear Sleep,
How I've missed you so!! I'm sorry that I took you for granted so many times before. Although Las Vegas is not the best place for us to meet, I was so excited to get to spend some uninterrupted quality time with you. Eight plus hours!! Not even the call of Wheel of Fortune could entice me away from you.
I will cherish our time together. And hopefully, get back to spending more time with you again. Unfortunately, Eggy seems reluctant to establish a long-lasting relationship with you but I'm working on it. She needs to know of your awesomeness.

Love,
Eggy Umma

New snack

I think she still prefers her hand. When I'm trying to change her diaper, I have to pull her feet down because they get in the way.

Eggy had her 4 month check up with the pediatrician a couple weeks ago.
Height: 26 inches (95th percentile!)
Weight: 14 lbs. 0.1 oz. (55th percentile)
Head Circumference: 16.5 inches (73rd percentile)
She had to get 3 shots (ouch!) and one oral vaccine. I hate needles but I'd take her shots for her if I could.
Her doctor also said that she was teething. That explains all the drooling. Her teeth probably won't show until 6 to 8 months though. And he wants to wait until she's 6 months before we start solids. I don't mind waiting because for me, solids = stinky poop. I should say stinkier poop because it's pretty bad now.

It's been pretty rough these past few weeks. I don't know if it's the teething or what but it has been so hard getting Eggy to bed. She cries every night now. She does fine during the day for her naps though. It's only at night. I hope this doesn't mean we're going to have to cancel our trip to Vegas. Again. Keep your fingers crossed.

Happy 4 Months!

She's getting so big. I still think of her as a little baby but sometimes when I look at her, I'm surprised to see how much she's grown.
She's been trying to stick everything in her mouth. After a while though, she seems to get frustrated, like she's mad that she can't stick the whole thing in her mouth. Or maybe she just gets tired of holding the object. So we just take it away from her.

She's also been drooling a lot more too. My little slobber monster. When I hold her upright, she likes to lick my shoulder. Maybe she is marking her territory. So please excuse any drool stains on my clothes.

After she rolled over the first few times, she wouldn't do it anymore. A few weeks ago, she did it again and hasn't stopped. Any time we put her on her belly, she'll roll right over, making tummy time impossible. But she'll only turn to her left. She's not an ambi-turner, like Zoolander. And she's lazy about it too; she lets gravity do most of the work. I'll try to get a video up.
She's found her feet. But she doesn't suck on those. She still prefers her hand, specifically her pointer finger.

We've finally managed to get her to sleep without being swaddled. It took awhile because she would keep hitting herself in the face but she's doing better.

She's got an appointment with the pediatrician next week. Time for her 4 month shots, ouch! Poor baby.
