Happy Birthday, Eggy Appah!

Because I'm broke, I made the hubs his favorite oatmeal cookies as a gift. (Thanks to Husband Stealer for the recipe.) My mom made bibimbap for dinner. Eggy tried to help out in the kitchen.
Mostly, she got in the way.
Of course, there was cake.
Hope your first birthday as a father was a good one. Eggy and I love you very much, you old fart!

Yesterday, Eggy went to her first party! It was for the birthdays of two little girls. They were two and three. Even though Eggy was one of the youngest ones there, I think she had fun.

Bully

Eggy does not play nice. She pokes you in the eye, grabs your lips, pulls your hair, kicks you in the face, and punches you in the throat. She sits on your stomach and bounces up and down so you can't breathe. When my grandmother in Korea saw a picture of her, she said Eggy looks tough, like no one's going to mess with her.

Wait until she gets on the playground.

Kung Hei Fat Choy

Kai-Lan says, "Happy New Year!"

Happy Valentine's Day!

Look what halmeh taught Eggy, just in time for Valentine's Day....

Haha, her arms are too short to reach the top of her head.

Bringing sexy back

Eggy's got a new way to keep the hair out of her face.
Doesn't she look like a sushi chef?
But I guess Eggy appah thought it might be missing something so to make it special....

She actually seems to like wearing the sweatband. At first, she kept pulling it off but now she'll leave it on. A few times when it came off, she'd pick it up and hand it to me. "Put it back on."

Happy 10 Months!

Right before we took this picture Eggy tried to lunge off the couch. I grabbed her just in time. Then, I picked my heart up off the floor.

It's been a busy month. It's hard keeping up with her; she's such a fast crawler now. I am not looking forward to when Eggy will start walking.

Eggy can now:
Pull herself up to standing. She'll even stand on her own for a few seconds.
Wave "hi" or "bye"
Tongue - She'll stick out her tongue if you stick yours out or say, "let me see your tongue."
Monster - When you say "monster," Eggy will make a growling noise.
Sign for "more." I've been trying to teach it to her for the past couple months but she just started signing it back, usually when she's eating snacks. She doesn't always do this though so I don't know if she fully gets it yet.
Two more bottom teeth came through so now Eggy's got 8 teeth total.
Eggy's attention span has been getting better. She'll sit and watch TV or look at books now for a few minutes. She really likes the Pororo music videos on youtube.

I've now got less than 2 months to plan Eggy's first birthday. A part of me wants to do something low key at home but my inner bridezilla won't let me.
