Father's Day 2012

It was a nice day.  We had dim sum in the morning before it got too crowded.  Bacon slept in the stroller for at least two hours(!) while we walked around the outdoor mall.  Came home and everybody got a good nap (except for me).  Ended with BBQ for dinner at Woodranch.

The father's day card Eggy and I made for Eggy appah on treat.com:
The front
The inside
I asked Eggy what we should write on her dad's card.  She dictated and I wrote it down.

I couldn't have asked for a better father for my two rugrats.  Thanks for giving me two beautiful babies!  Love you!

This Little Piggy went to the farm

On Father's Day, we met up with our friends, the Miyagis, at Tanaka Farms for the strawberry tour.

Daddies
Mommies
I'm going to eat THIS many strawberries!
Like this!!  AAAAH!
D-San and his mighty straw

There was this little boy who was verrry interested in Eggy.  He kept wanting to give Eggy hugs.  Sweet, right?  Actually, he'd hug her, then throw her to the ground!  He did that like twice.  I wasn't around because I was shopping so she was just with her dad but I did see them on the ground and figured they fell together.  Eggy appah wasn't too pleased.  I think he called him a punk but not to his face.
Anyway, it was really fun and Eggy seemed to enjoy it too.  How could she not?  Little miss piggy got to eat the whole time.  The strawberry season is over but Eggy appah wants to go back again, maybe for the watermelon season?

Like Appah!

Eggy's favorite movie lately is Tangled.  Have you seen it?  Super cute.
Anyway, we were watching Tangled and I asked her, "Eggy, do you like Flynn Rider?"
Eggy: Yeah!  (That's her new thing now.  She never says "yes" anymore; it's always "yeah!")  FlynnRider!  (She also says his whole name like it's one word.)
Me:  Do you think he's handsome?
Eggy:  No.  Appah handsome.
Me:  How about Prince Eric (from The Little Mermaid)?  Is he handsome?
Eggy:  No.  Appah only.
Me:  *rolls eyes

The other day when we were at my mom's, my mom was watching City Hunter.  I said to Eggy, "Look, Eggy, look!  Umma likes him (pointing at Lee Min Ho)!  He's handsome!"
Eggy:  No!  Appah!
Me:  No!  Oppa (Okay, so I'd be like his noona but he's an oppa to Eggy) handsome!  Umma likes him.
Eggy:  Umma like oppa?
Me:  Yes!  Umma like oppa; he's handsome.
Eggy:  Oooooh!  Like appah!

Happy Time

Since my last post was kind of a downer, here's some pics of a happier Eggy.
Tuesday was Eggy appah's birthday and no birthday is complete unless you have cake of course.
I'm so glad that Eggy shares my appreciation for cake.

Happy Birthday, Eggy Appah!

Reason #2

No offense to boys but you just can't do stuff like this with your son.  I guess you could but his dad would probably get mad.
Yup, I curled her hair.  I kind of want to get her a perm but it's probably not the best idea.  I highly doubt that Eggy would tolerate the rollers in her hair.  Plus, it'll probably make her face look bigger.
But she liked it.  After I curled it, I told her to go look in the mirror.  She kept giggling and tossing her hair back.  She's so funny.

Just when I wrote a post about Eggy being a daddy's girl, she decides she's over him.  Well, not really but she has her moments.  Like last weekend, Eggy appah and I were eating sandwiches and Miss Piggy decided she had to have a bite too even though she had already had lunch.  So Eggy appah gave her a few pieces of bell pepper from his sandwich and when he asked Eggy for one of them, she refused.  But when I asked her if I could have a piece, she let me have a bite.  So her dad asked her again and he was rejected again.  She even let her halmeh have a bite.  It's not just with food but her toys too.  She'll happily share everything with me but she won't let her dad have anything.  I swear I did not teach this to her.

Tattletale

She always blames her appah, even if she's the one who did it.

Daddy's Girl

Eggy is sooooo Team Appah.  When her dad comes home from work, she only wants to hang out with him.  And if her halmeh tries to feed her, Eggy will grab the bowl away and push it to her appah so he can feed her instead.  Haha, what a punk.  The only thing I don't like is that Eggy gets so whiny with him.  I think it's because she knows she can get away with it.  If she tried pulling that shit on me or her halmeh, we shut it down and she knows it.  But when she's with her dad and she's cranky, it's whine whine whine because he always gives in.  Pushover.

Isn't she supposed to be more interested in wearing my shoes?  I tried letting her wear some high heels but she wasn't having it.

Anyway, speaking of teams, I thought Eggy was on Team Edward but I guess she's switched sides.

Happy Birthday, Eggy Appah!

Because I'm broke, I made the hubs his favorite oatmeal cookies as a gift. (Thanks to Husband Stealer for the recipe.) My mom made bibimbap for dinner. Eggy tried to help out in the kitchen.
Mostly, she got in the way.
Of course, there was cake.
Hope your first birthday as a father was a good one. Eggy and I love you very much, you old fart!

Yesterday, Eggy went to her first party! It was for the birthdays of two little girls. They were two and three. Even though Eggy was one of the youngest ones there, I think she had fun.
