Hello 2012!

Hope everyone's holidays were happy.  It went by so fast, no?
Here's a recap of some of our good times.
Saying hi to Santa at California Adventure before our passes expired :(
Visiting Santa officially
The ornament she picked out this year
We bought this Gingerbread Man Kit from Trader Joe's because I'm way too lazy to make it from scratch. I helped her decorate.  Basically, she told me where she wanted to put the candy bits and I squeezed the frosting for her.  She did pretty good.
But she definitely enjoyed eating it more than decorating.  She ended up picking off all the chocolate candy and left the rest of the cookie.
Some more holiday eats.
Eggy's also been enjoying the holiday music.  Her favorites:  Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Feliz Navidad.
Eggy asked to have her nails painted.  I asked her if she wanted to do Christmas colors, red and/or green.  "No.  I want o-dange."
She only wanted me to paint one hand.  That's because she wanted to paint the other hand herself.

Last year, Eggy enjoyed opening her presents but I don't know if she understood that the presents were for her.  This year, she didn't care who the presents were for; she wanted to open all of them.  She barely looked at her own gifts because she was too busy trying to open everyone else's gifts.  "Oh!  Rapunzel!  What's next?!  Let's open this one!!"
There was one gift for my sister that was in a big box.  Eggy kept wanting to open it.  I told her no, that it was for her eemo.  She said, "Okay, I open it with Eemo.  She share with me.  I get a big present because I'm a big girl now."  Huh, if you were such a big girl, how come you don't go to sleep by yourself?
Opening presents at halmuni and harabuji's on Christmas Eve
Can you believe her Christmas pajamas from last year still fit?
Celebrating The Rock's birthday
It's hard to say what her favorite gift was this year.  She's really enjoying her tool set from SokSok but she also likes to wear her Rapunzel crown from Auntie K while she's "fixing" things.  So girly and so butch, haha.  And she thinks her new camera from GooGoo is hilarious.  And the only present that gave Eggy pause in her wild unwrapping spree at my parents' house was the Rapunzel nightgown/costume.  In her haste to try it on, she ended up pulling her underwear down with her pants.  Whoops!

"I'm a princess!"
Scooter from Santa
Still getting the hang of it

With Baby Dos on the way, I know 2012 is going to be a crazy year.  But I'm looking forward to it.  As long as we have our family, friends, health, and home, I can't ask for much.  I'm a lucky girl.

Our Holiday Card

So I totally wasn't going to send out Christmas cards this year for a bunch of reasons.  Eggy appah's camera is busted.  I'm too lazy.  And we're too cheap.  BUT!  I was able to get it done at Costco for super cheap and super quick so I present to you....
Why yes, that is Mr. Fast and Furious.  Do you like our coordinating outfits?  Yes, we totally planned that.
I know.  Sometimes, I have too much time on my hands.  But tell me you're not jealous.  Sigh, he was totally my white boy crush during college.  Can you tell how close I was trying to get to him (see how squished cozy Eggy looks)?
Anyway, I told Eggy that we were going to take a picture with her new daddy.  Later, when I was looking at the picture again, Eggy says, "Look!  It's Eggy, umma, and new daddy."
Then, before bedtime, Eggy was playing with her dad.  She has this new game where she calls him an ugly triceratops.  (I may have given her that idea.  How was I to know that it would stick?!)  So I asked her if she thought her appah was handsome or ugly.  "Ugly!"  Oh well, that's not very nice.  Okay, how about new daddy?  Is he handsome or ugly?  "Handsome!"  Girl knows what she likes.

Christmas 2010

With our new home being completed in just a few months, the hubs and I have been trying to watch our budget.  So this year, we skipped getting presents for each other and we didn't even really get Eggy anything.  (We had already gotten our Disneyland passes and bought a ton of clothes for Eggy.)  Luckily, she has a lot of people who like to spoil her.

All these presents are for her!

Hands down, this was Eggy's favorite gift.  It's a fruit and vegetable set by Plan Toys.  You can "cut" the fruits and veggies with the knife.  It's recommended for 3 years and up so Eggy doesn't quite have the skills to do the cutting but she loves it anyway.
Right away, she tried to eat it.
She loved it so much that she didn't want to open the rest of her presents because she was too busy playing.
But she did get distracted with these other plastic fruit and vegetable toys by Melissa and Doug.
Still trying to eat the fake food
Sharing is caring
I should have known these presents would be a hit with her.  Eggy loveloveloves her fruits and vegetables.

Like our matching family pajamas?

Later, we went to Ma-Ma's house for dinner with family:
A pro at opening presents now
Her other fave: an Elmo camera
Totally uninterested in other presents now that she's got Elmo
She got not just one stroller but TWO strollers!
Family pic

We also celebrated Sok Sok's birthday and The Rock's birthday.  Eggy couldn't wait to blow out the candles.
Thanks to The Rock for being so nice to share his birthday candles with Eggy.

It was a very very good Christmas.  Even without any presents, I know Eggy would have enjoyed just spending time with the people who love her, as long as there was cake and birthday candles.  Just kidding.

Holiday card

I realized I never posted our holiday card.

Hope everyone had a happy Christmas!

My holiday helper

Just a few more days left until Christmas!  I am so glad that I finished all my Christmas shopping early.  Plus, shopping on the internet is the best.  Anyway, all the presents are wrapped and ready to go under the tree.  I did have to do all the wrapping while Eggy was sleeping so she wouldn't "help" me.  But I did let her add her own personal touch to a few of the presents.
translation: Merry Christmas, Grandma!  love, Eggy
Admit it, you know you wish you were getting a present from Eggy too.  Who wouldn't want an Eggy original?

O Christmas Tree!

We put up our Christmas tree a few weeks ago.  There's nothing like the smell of a real tree but for $50 and no mess, we went with a fake tree.
I looove my Christmas tree!
The ornament that Eggy picked out
Eggy with her first Christmas present of the year; thanks, K!
