Happy 14 Months!

Holy moly! My baby's getting so big! Duh, I know, that's what babies do. But it's just so much more obvious this month.

Eggy isn't talking yet. There's a few words that she'll say (umma, appah, mamma, gah) but I don't know if those words are exclusive because she calls a lot of things umma. It is frustrating to not always know what she wants. She points a lot and goes "eh eh eh." And she's started to grab our hand and pull you to where she wants to go. Bossy.

We moved Eggy to a forward facing car seat. I think she likes it better this way because now there are more things to look at than the back of the seat.

Her first molars on the bottom have cut through. Now maybe she'll chew her food better instead of just swallowing after three bites. She's already eating pretty much everything we eat. Just the other day, I even gave her kimchee. (I rinsed it off first.) She seemed to enjoy it. Something else that likes to eat? Corn! She attacks that thing like she's a shark or something.

Isn't it funny you don't realize how time passes you by until you see how much everyone else around you has changed or grown? You know, like when you hear that your little cousin is already graduating from college when you thought he was only in high school. It's kind of like that with Eggy. I've been used to Eggy being the youngest of the babies I knew but now all of a sudden, she's like one of the oldest! Last weekend, we were at dinner with a few friends which included a 4 month old, a 6 week old, and a prego (@ 20 weeks). Wha? When did that happen?! I feel so old!

First Haircut

Eggy finally got a haircut today!!

She did pretty good.  No crying.  But she didn't really want to get bangs.  

So we had to bribe her with a lollipop.

My sister reminded me that it's been two weeks since I've updated. Once again, I got sucked into the k-drama world. Curse you, Lee Min Ho, for being so adorable! These dramas are like crack, so addicting. I'm always thinking of when I can get my next fix. It can't be healthy. I think I need an intervention. Next thing you know, I'll be saying things like, "aigoo" and calling the hubs, "yobo."

But even if I wasn't obsessed, there really hasn't been a whole lot going on. Boring. Anyway, since summer is almost here and May is National Skin Cancer Awareness Month, Eggy wants to remind you to use sunscreen!

So after rescheduling twice because of the rain, we finally got to do our family photo shoot today.  It took a little while for Eggy to warm up but I think we got some good shots. It'll be a few weeks before the pictures are ready but I was happy with the ones the photographer showed us.

I brought a lollipop to use as as prop which I forgot until the very last minute. At first, Eggy didn't know what to do with it because we don't really let her have any candy yet. Then, I ended up dropping it and breaking it. Oops. But I let her have some as a reward for being a good girl during the shoot. Since Eggy was already dressed up, Eggy appah took some pictures of her with her lollipop when we got home.  Man, once she figured out how to work that lollipop, she loooved it!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies and soon-to-be mommies!

My mother's day started off like any other Sunday, except that Eggy let me sleep in until almost 8! She must have known today was a special day. I'm sure she'll make up for it by waking up extra early tomorrow morning.
