Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker

Happy 22 Months!

Eggy is talking all. the. time. now.  She's still repeating after us all the time but now, the words actually stick.  Like she remembers the words and uses them later on her own.  It's crazy to see how fast Eggy learns.

I'm probably missing a few but I just can't keep up.  And not only is she saying a whole bunch of new words but she's even putting them together!  My baby's talking in sentences!  Well, kinda.
  • Umma come/go/push/help!  (Dang, she's so bossy!)
  • Nui-nui do it!
  • Good night
  • All done (She can say this in Korean too)
  • No apple (or whatever she doesn't want)
  • Nui-nui kkuh - which basically means "mine!"  But she'll say umma kkuh or appah kkuh or whoever saying that it belongs to that person.  This is in Korean.
So even though Eggy can say all these words and phrases, it's probably only clear to those who understand Egg-lish, like her dad and me and my mom since we're around her the most.  Even so, we don't always get what she's saying because a lot of the words sound similar.

I'm convinced that Eggy is going through the dreaded terrible two's.  She's like a psycho.  Any random thing can set her off.  For example, there's a little scratch or ding in our bathtub.  Eggy hardly pays attention to it because she's too busy trying to flood the bathroom with all her splashing.  But a few days ago, she pointed to it and freaked out, crying.  Psycho.  On Sunday, we went to D-san's birthday party at a My Gym.  Eggy really liked it but she didn't like the two employees.  Well, she didn't hate them but she was pretty rude to them.  Every time they tried to help her with something, she'd whine and want me to do it instead.  One of them had her hand on Eggy while Eggy was riding down this ramp in a car and Eggy pushed her hand away.  I was kind of embarrassed by the way she was acting, especially since I know she's better than that.  But when we went to dinner afterwards, she was so much better.  She was dancing at our table, charming the other diners around us.  Psycho.  When anyone comes home (like from work or whatever) and she hears the door open, she freaks out and runs to you and wants you to hold her.  It doesn't matter who it is, even if it's her dad, she just gets all weird and doesn't want to say hi or anything.  Psycho.

You know how some babies just crack up and they get that really big belly laugh where they can't stop? Well, Eggy's never been like that.  She just giggles a little bit.  But when she does get the giggles, she also gets the hiccups.  It's funny.

I'm debating whether I should start trying to potty train Eggy, like for real.  She peed in the potty again!  On her own!  She was running around diaper-less because she had just pooped and my mom was going to wash her butt.  So they were in the bathroom saying bye-bye to her poop and while my mom turned on the water, Eggy pulled up her onesie, sat on the potty, and went pee!  With no prompting.  So she definitely knows what the potty is for.  I just don't think she's really interested though.
